Our Businesses
Connexión’s focus is on the city of Tangier, Morocco, because of its wonderful and engaging people, positive business climate, and available workforce. We believe we can make meaningful contributions to the community and change people’s lives. So far, Connexion has committed to three businesses in Tangier.
The American Center of Language & Culture
In 2021, Connexion opened The American Center of Language & Culture. The Center teaches English to more than 240 students, German to more than 70, and the local dialect of Arabic to more than 20. All teachers are native speakers of the language they teach. The Center employs nine Americans, three Germans, and six Moroccans. The Center is an outreach to the community and a place where people congregate, establish relationships, and learn about each other’s cultures.
Hekaya coffee
Connexion launched Hekaya Coffee, a walk-up coffee shop, in June of 2024. Hekaya specializes in high-end coffees and other drinks and is managed by and employs local entrepreneurs. Our plan is that it will be the first of many.
Hollywood Bowls Tangier
In 2026, we will launch Hollywood Bowls Tangier. It will serve açai and fruit bowls in a bright, friendly environment. Hollywood Bowls will employ a mix of local Moroccans and expats from the U.S.
